Merging Two Healthcare Brands into a Single Digital Platform

Following the acquisition of Clear Wax Solutions, Holmes Ear Care partnered with CoreTechnics to bring two established healthcare brands together under a single platform. Built using the new CoreLabs headless WordPress architecture, the project combines websites, booking systems, customer journeys and operational workflows into one scalable solution.
Holmes Ear Care became a CoreTechnics client following its acquisition of Clear Wax Solutions. Initially, the relationship focused on hosting and supporting the existing Clear Wax Solutions website and portal while plans were developed for the future direction of both businesses.
Rather than maintaining two separate websites indefinitely, the decision was made to create a new unified platform under the Holmes Ear Care brand. The goal was to combine the strengths of both organisations while providing a better experience for customers, administrators and healthcare practitioners.
This project is currently in development and will receive a final portfolio update once the new platform has been launched.
Following the acquisition of Clear Wax Solutions, Holmes Ear Care inherited not only a customer base but also an established digital presence. While both businesses operated in similar areas, maintaining separate websites long term would have created duplicated content, duplicated administration and an inconsistent customer journey.
The new project focuses on bringing everything together under the Holmes Ear Care brand while still recognising the value and reputation built by Clear Wax Solutions. Dedicated landing pages will continue to support customers familiar with the previous business.
The project does not start from scratch. Clear Wax Solutions already benefits from a bespoke client portal used to manage appointments, client information and treatment notes. Rather than replacing these workflows, the new Holmes Ear Care platform is being designed to work alongside them.
This allows the businesses to retain proven operational processes while modernising the customer-facing experience.
The new platform is one of the first projects being built on the CoreLabs headless WordPress architecture. This approach combines the content management flexibility of WordPress with a more modern and scalable frontend experience.
The goal is to create a faster, more flexible platform that can support future growth while remaining easy for the client team to manage.
Alongside the website rebuild, the project introduces new integrations designed to improve day-to-day operations. Appointment scheduling is being enhanced through Squarespace Scheduling, providing a more streamlined booking experience for customers while remaining connected to the wider platform.
Email delivery is also being upgraded using SendGrid, helping ensure appointment confirmations, reminders and customer communications are delivered more reliably.
By connecting the website, scheduling systems and operational portal together, the platform aims to reduce administration while improving the overall customer experience.
This project represents more than a website redesign. It is a strategic consolidation of two businesses, multiple systems and years of operational experience into a single platform.
Once complete, Holmes Ear Care will have a modern digital foundation capable of supporting future growth while preserving the valuable assets and customer journeys developed through both brands.
A further update will be added to this portfolio once the project has launched and measurable outcomes are available.
